Laser Controlled: These cable wire nipples are injection cast under pressure, and laser controlled to ensure end of wire is positioned right back in the nipple.

Spiralled and Pre-stretched: Brake wires are spiralled to allow maximum freedom of movement. All are pre-stretched.

Diedrawn Process: Some of Transfil’s wires are compacted in a process called Diadron which removes the surface ripples from the wire effectively to slick it. All SRAM wire is made in this way. It reduces friction. In this process the wires are oil tempered reducing the need of future lubrication. The art is to produce wire that is highly flexible for bends in the cable casing, yet rigid for compression in use.

Shimano Pattern Wires to ISO9002 standard are heat tempered for extra resistance.
